Dorje Namjom | Vajravidharan

This purification puja will be done through the meditation deity Dorje Namjom (Vajravidharan). It has the benefits of healing skin diseases and obscuration-related sicknesses. There are 4 parts in this puja.

The first part involves using water to cleanse the obscurations. When water is poured onto your head, think in this way: your own sickness, obstacles, curses cast by others, and all inauspicious situations are being cleansed and purified by the water. When the water flows from your head to the “lu” in front of you, all the sicknesses, obstacles etc are dissolved into the “lu”.

The second part involves using the peacock feather and kusha grass to brush away the remnant obscurations. The gross obscurations have been cleansed and purified by water in the first part, but the subtle obscurations are still there. So, the peacock feather and kusha grass are to sweep away the remaining subtle obscurations. Therefore, visualize that all the subtle obscurations have been completely cleansed and dissolved into the “lu”.

The third part involves the “lu” which is meant to represent all of you. All your sicknesses, obstacles and curses cast by others, harm caused by human or non-human are all dissolved into the “lu”. Visualize that this representation of you, together with all the sicknesses, obstacles etc, are being sent away and will never return.

The fourth part involves using the varja to touch your head, shoulders, chest and hip to protect you as these are the locations where the harmful spirits, if any, reside in your body. By closing the doors to these locations, Dorje Namjom (Vajravidharan) will protect you from these harms from today onwards. Therefore, visualize that all the doors to these locations have been closed.
